Every traveler, frequent or otherwise, faces the same dilemma: finding items to pack that don’t wrinkle. While ironing on vacation will not be the end of the world, it can also be an annoyance and waste of time.

Vacations should be worry-free as much as possible. So, packing clothes and other things that will never require an iron relieves that worry in advance.

From classic staples to accessories travelers sometimes forget to pack, several wrinkle-free and resistant items will make your next trip less stressful and still fashivonable.

1. Denim Jeans or Shorts

Timeless, versatile, and always fashionable, denim remains a tried-and-true staple for casual and elevated looks. One can wear anything from t-shirts to sweaters to flowy blouses with denim Jeans, shorts, and crop pants.

One can pack bottoms flat or rolled, and few wrinkles will appear. The best thing about denim remains their casual nature. Even if you can see a few creases, it will not matter. They’ll merely look distressed.

You can never go wrong packing some Levi’s jeans.

2. Cable Knit or Cashmere Sweaters

If you’re planning a winter vacation or a trip to a colder destination, you must pack accordingly. Thankfully, some classic warm-weather attire, especially numerous types of sweaters, does not require any ironing.

Not every fabric is wrinkle-resistant, but two of the most stylish and classy options are cable knit and cashmere sweaters. These wardrobe staples prove to be soft, cozy, warm, and effortless to style.

They also travel exceptionally well and do not wrinkle in the slightest. They may take up a bit more room in a suitcase, but the ease of wear remains invaluable.

Stores such as The Gap and American Eagle offer these kinds of sweaters. This classic crew neck from J. Crew offers a timeless and beautiful look.

Since its inception, polyester has become one of the most versatile fabrics. Many types, including polyester blends with cotton, spandex, and other materials, have become popular. For travel purposes, they’re fantastic because an iron is rarely required.

100% polyester sheer floral blouses or poly-spandex dresses prove to be lovely and comfortable and give travelers an easy choice. If you take a while to get ready for a nice evening out for dinner, it won’t be because your polyester dresses, such as this stunner from Lulu’s, need ironing.

When traveling to any place with a pool or beach, the one thing individuals should never forget would be a swimsuit. Although it happens more times than some would care to admit, few ever forget their best quality.

Bathing suits never need ironing because of what they’re made from and used for. According to Startmakingwaves.com, nylon, polyester, spandex, or elastase remain the most common materials for swimsuits. These blends take to the water well and never get creases.

While many feel insecure about how they look in a swimsuit (though I say wear that suit proudly), the stress of a wrinkly garment will never occur.

Some jackets can get wrinkly, so choosing specific materials is essential. If you want to pretend to be as chic as Cameron Diaz in The Holiday, choose a wool blend like this one from Guess Factory.

For a little extra warmth in more temperate conditions, a cropped faux fur jacket, such as this one from Allegra K, will be the way to go.

Water-resistant jackets, which do not wrinkle, are also handy in case of a downpour. Columbia offers some of the best water-resistant jackets on the market.
