Dust hides in the most annoying places. No matter how often you get around with a feather duster, there always seems to be more.

Window blinds are no different. Dusting dirty window blinds takes some time.

The typical way to clean window blinds efficiently involves soaking and wiping them dry. We created the following list for those who don’t have nearly enough free time for that!

Utilize a Blind Cleaner Tool

A blind cleaner tool helps you get the worst dust off your blinds in minutes. You can swiftly wipe the tool across each blind, starting from the top.

The tool attaches to the blind from both sides, allowing you to wipe it from one side to the other easily. You can even add disinfectant to the tool to clean the blind further.

Consider a Dust Buster

The Dust Duster, or similar hand-held vacuums, work perfectly for cleaning blinds without needing to take them off the window. Run it slowly across the top and bottom of each blind, and it will pick up all the loose dust.

Note: The dust buster doesn’t remove as much dust as a blind cleaner or a direct cloth. However, it is much quicker and does the trick for a temporary fix.

Dust With a Cloth

When all else fails, wetting a cloth and adding a bit of dish soap gets the job done quite well. It takes a few seconds to grab the cloth and flick your way back and forth, picking up all the dust but not dropping it on the floor.

You can then rinse the cloth and toss it in the laundry to be dealt with later.

Use a Tub

While using a tub seems like a hassle, you still save time by leaving the blinds to soak while you go about your day. You can even leave them there all day while at work and rinse them off when you get home.

Add a touch of detergent to the bath to kill off any germs left on your blinds, and leave them to air dry before putting them back on your windows.
